Alabama Sports

Sports, sports and more sports. You'll find the people of Alabama very enthusiastic about sports. Whether it's a Saturday college football game in the fall or the Birmingham Barons professional baseball team, you'll want to take in the experience. Or see the Birmingham Steeldogs arena football team and the Alabama Slammers hockey team.

If your need is speed, then the Talladega Superspeedway, considered the world's fastest speedway, is the place to be. In addition, the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum has a wonderful new home and is joined by an impressive 2.3-mile road course. The road course adds a living element to the collection and allows attendees to see these classics in action.

You'll also find that Alabama has a variety of pari-mutuel wagering, from greyhound racing at the Birmingham Race Course to bingo at the Creek Bingo Palace in Atmore.
