For over ten years, the Blues Tavern has been entertaining Mobile.  Promoting itself as the city’s only Blues Room, the establishment provides live music, mostly blues, Wednesday through Sunday.

Located in the heart of the Cloverdale neighborhood, 1048 offers live music every night of the week, starting at 10pm Mon-Sat and at 8:30pm with Jazz on Sunday. The club’s name comes from its former location, 1048 East Fairview. When the establishment moved three doors east, the name remained even though the exact location changed.

Alley Bar

Located, as the name implies, in the Alley behind Commerce Street in downtown Montgomery,  the Alley Bar offers  live music most Wednesday – Saturday nights starting around 9pm. With a 40 degree shot room  complete with glasses made from ice and fur coats to wear in the special bar, you will see people from their 20s to 50s in this establishment .

Eastside Grille

Montgomery jazzman Henry Pugh has been playing for the late night crowd for years in this underground club in downtown Montgomery.  Once you descend the stairs leading to the club you will find a small dance floor and Pugh playing to the crowd.  One of the club’s traditions is the open seat next to Pugh, reserved for him to play songs to selected female guests.  The music starts around midnight and ends just prior to sunrise.
