Hunting and Fishing in Alabama

From the scenic mountains of North Alabama to the beaches of the Gulf Coast, the Alabama Bass Trail is a must for any avid angler.

Bordering the Tennessee River, Joe Wheeler State Park provides 82,600 acres of prime fishing habitat for smallmouth and largemouth bass.

The 67,900-acre Lake Guntersville in northeast Alabama is widely known for the caliber of largemouth bass caught from the reservoir and is a favorite tournament spot.

Located on the beautiful clear waters of Lake Martin, Wind Creek State Park offers those who are seeking plentiful largemouth and spotted bass populations 41,000 acres to find their "spot."

Known as "The Bass Capital of the World," Lakepoint Resort State Park sits on the shores of the 45,200-acre Lake Eufaula. Located in east central Alabama, this is a favorite tournament spot for both Alabama and Georgia anglers.

Approximately 100,000 acres of pristine delta await in the Mobile-Tensaw Delta located near the southern tip of the state. The fishing in this wilderness is some of the most scenic on the Trail.

Alabama is one of the premier states in the nation for hunting white-tailed deer and Eastern wild turkey. Our state's generous hunting seasons and bag limits are the envy of other states. An abundance of forested land, water resources and natural beauty make Alabama a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
