205-755-8218. Opened in 2006, Creek Valley Trails offers you the opportunity to ride where the Yellow Leaf Creek flows and Creek Indians roamed.

There are mountain trails with breath-taking views of 4 counties. Level trails next to the creek and through the woods may be suitable for conditioned barefoot horses, but mountain trails may require shoes. You will find huge honeysuckle trees and fragrant mountain laurel. Also, you can ride through wooded acres of oaks, dogwoods, pines and listen to all the wildlife. Ride at your leisure and enjoy yourself on over 1,300 acres!

You can day-ride or spend the night at campsites.

Visitors:
Bring your own horse. Rental horses not avaiable.

Creek Valley Trails is conveniently located just 5 miles off I-65 between Exits 219 and 212 about half way between Birmingham and Montgomery. Owner lives a comfortable distance away but on site should there be any problems.

Negative Coggins is required and will be checked.

 

Facility:
Electric/water hookups with dump stations. Horses can be picket lined in treed areas behind campsite or confined with your own electric pens. Brand new country-style bathhouse is very close to campsites, and the covered BBQ and gathering pavilion is also adjacent to the campsites. Also a covered gazebo on the lake.
