Anniston Military Heritage Reunion

May 14-16, Anniston Anniston Military Heritage Reunion 256-237-3536. www.calhounchamber.com. Free. Fort Mcclellan--In celebration of Armed Forces Day and this area's deep military heritage, the Calhoun County Chamber of Commerce, the Spirit of Anniston and the City of Anniston have joined together to host the Anniston Military Heritage Reunion. Although Fort McClellan closed in 1999, it still served as home to countless men and women for decades. Also, it was once home to the Chemical School, the MP School, the WACS, and former POW's. Events such as a Military Ball, a Military Parade and a golf tournament are scheduled for the 2010 reunion weekend and will include all facets of the armed forces.
