Talladega

When most people think of Talladega, they immediately think of the Talladega Superspeedway, the largest and fastest speedway in the world. But in addition to the fast track, Talladega is home to a lovely downtown with its historic Talladega Ritz Theater, and Cheaha State Park, where you’ll find boundless recreational opportunities as well as the highest point in Alabama. It’s also home to a unique brand of Southern hospitality experienced by hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

    Country’s most comprehensive education/rehabilitation program for deaf and blind. Restored Manning Hall (1850), Jemison House (1898) and Grace Hall (1878).

  • Bryant Vineyard

  • Dale Jarrett Racing Adventure

    The adventure of a lifetime, where thrill-seekers can drive authentic Nextel Cup NASCAR cars at speeds of 165 MPH+ at Talladega Superspeedway.

  • Historic Downtown Court Square & Silk Stocking District

    Walking tour. Built 1836, is oldest courthouse in continuous use in Alabama. Classic architecture. Silk Stocking District tour features residential buildings. (1835–1910).

  • Historic Ritz Theatre

    Renovated 1930s theater restored in the original lavish Deco-style with a spring and fall performance season with more than a dozen music shows a year.

The Bankhead, Conecuh, Talladega, and Tuskegee National Forests encourage healthy, active outdoor fun through several events.
