  • Christmas Merry-Go-Round

    Tradition started in 1956. Each Christmas season welcomes new riders and many older ones sharing the wonder and the magic of the Christmas Merry-Go-Round.

  • Cotton Duck Company

    Green company located in Historic Hangdale Mill and partnered with InterPace FLOR to create unique, one-of-a-kind bags from carpet waste material.

  • Historic Fairfax Depot

    Built in 1917. One of two remaining Chattahoochee Valley Railway depots. Train museum inside with wall murals of scenes when trains traveled through valley.

  • Historic Langdale Mill

    Built 1866. Originally made lap blankets, later Cotton Duck ship sail materials. Made sails for Old Ironsides. Home of Cotton Duck Carpet Bag Company.

  • Historic Riverdale Textile Mill

    1866 building straddles Chattahoochee River part in Alabama and part in Georgia. Ground-level entrance to each of four stories.

  • Hot Air Balloon Festival

    Jun 1-2, 2012

    June 1-2, 2012 Hot Air Balloon Festival 334-756-5228. www.cityofvalley.com. Shawmut Airport--Hosted by the City of Valley and the Valley Historic Preservation Council, this event will kickoff with a balloon glow on Friday and the balloon launch will follow on Saturday.
