Alex City Jazz Fest & Historic Marker Dedication

Join us in celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Alexander City Chamber of Commerce and the Year of Alabama Small Towns and Downtowns! On Friday, June 11, Alexander City will dedicate a new historic marker. Local dignitaries will speak and refreshments will be served. On Friday and Saturday evening, we'll celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the Alex City Jazz Fest, hosted by Russell Lands. First held to thank the customers of Frohsin's Department Store and the citizens of Alexander City, this free annual event will feature a music headliner and special activities on Friday in Strand Park downtown. On Saturday night, activities take place on the shores of Lake Martin at the Amphitheater. Previous headliners have included Los Lonely Boys, Delbert McClinton, Amanda Shaw and Dickie Betts.
