Arbor Day
The City of Foley has been participating in the National Arbor Day Foundation's Tree City, USA and Tree City, USA Growth Awards ceremony since approximately 1980. Arbor Day is celebrated on the last Saturday in February each year at 10:00 a.m. at the Heritage Park Pavilion and John B. Foley Park. The event includes a brief ceremony, a special tree planting and a tree seedling giveaway. The seedlings selected change from year to year.
