Old Courthouse Museum - Downtown Square Third annual festival celebrating Truman Capote and the Southern fruitcake made famous by Sook and Buddy in "A Christmas Memory." Homemade fruitcakes, baked by local cooks, will be on sale, along with divinity and local pecans. A silent auction will be held for specially made fruitcakes in collectible tins, much as Capote himself made. Friday night’s program will feature Dawn Hare as Monroeville’s Fruitcake Lady.
