Luck of the Irish Festivities

The event kicks off at 11:00 with a cook off featuring Irish Stew and Corned Beef and Cabbage. The children's glen is also open from 11-4 with attractions for the wee ones. After all food samples are given out, get ready to parade. The St. Patrick's Day parade wraps around Bienville Square and goes back to where it began at the Civic Center. The Mississippi Magic Irish Dancers perform after lunch and bagpipers stroll the park throughout the event. It's a fun family event that helps support healthy families in South Alabama by raising money for the child abuse prevention programs of The Family Center at www.familycentermobile.org.
