Mule Day Festival
Winfield | Marion County
Sep 21-23, 2012
Mule Day festivities begin on Friday evening with music and dancing for all ages, great food, flea market booths, and downtown shopping specials. But if your interests lie elsewhere, plenty of rest will prepare you for Saturday's 7:30 a.m. Mule Day Run. Besides the many varieties of food and music, there are plenty of events that will entertain you and your family. Be prepared to spend the day enjoying the Mule Day parade, featuring mules of all types and sizes, buggies and horses, a car and tractor show, flea market, mule judging, arts and crafts, bake-n-auction, and a carnival. A Civil War re-enactment, "Skirmish at Luxapalila" will also take place at Ivan K. Hill Park, with battles on Saturday and Sunday, and a period ball Saturday evening at the Winfield Community Center.
