The annual Christmas Parade begins at 6 pm at the Athens High School parking lot. The parade includes marching bands, cheerleaders, ROTC groups, the Grand Marshal, the Jr. Grand Marshal, Miss Merry Christmas, horses, floats and, of course, Ole' St. Nick himself will parade from Athens High School on Hwy. 31 to Hometown Grocery on Jefferson Street. Part of the Christmas spirit is, after all, community spirit. Call 256.232.1944 for more information.
