The Etowah Youth Orchestras Presents: Rock And Roll Christmas

For those who wish to rock this holiday season, the EYO salutes you – with the return of the music of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra! The EYO is pleased to bring back the Rock And Roll Christmas show on Saturday, December 12, at 8:00 PM. The concert features the Etowah Youth Symphony Orchestra with special guests Rick & Tad And Friends, and will be held at Wallace Hall on the campus of Gadsden State Community College. The music will be a reprise of the highly acclaimed Rock And Roll Christmas programs from 2006 and 2007 that featured the music of the popular rock and roll outfit the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. The partnership between the Etowah Youth Orchestras and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra was forged in February of 2005 when EYO Music Director Mike Gagliardo and former TSO Concertmaster and arranger Mark Wood met at the ASTA Conference in Reno, NV. With Wood's help, the EYO was granted special permission to create arrangements of the TSO music and perform it. This year’s concert will feature music from all three TSO Christmas albums, plus some other surprises for the audience. “We are adding more to the show in every area – more music, more lights, more effects, everything,” stated EYO Music Director Mike Gagliardo. “The audience should be prepared to let lose and have a great time!” Tickets are $10.00 each, and will be available at the Center For Cultural Arts after December 1. They may also be purchased at the door the night of the concert.
