205-933-8911. http://www.vulcanrun.com. Boutwell Auditorium--Time and effort define classics and for 34 years the Vulcan Run has been Birmingham’s prestigious 10k road race. Starts at Boutwell Auditorium and winds through the very flat part of downtown and heads out toward the rolling hills of historic Birmingham. 6 a.m.-noon with 10k beginning at 8 a.m.
