Break 'n Bread

Since 2003, Birmingham Originals has hosted the Magic City’s premiere food and wine festival, Break ’n Bread. Due to the increasing popularity of the event and the expansion of the organization, Break’ n Bread was moved from Pepper Place to a larger location at Railroad Park last year. The event will once again take place at Railroad Park on Sunday, October 14, from 1-5 p.m. Break ’n Bread is meant to be a welcoming community event that keeps the entire family entertained. Food enthusiasts will be treated to signature dishes from Birmingham’s best local restaurants while local brews, imported and domestic beers, wines, and soft drink selections will also be available for the thirsty. To continue the celebration of all things local, local farmers will be showcased in a small market, offering a wide variety of seasonal produce and homemade goodies. For children of all ages, there will be an expanded children’s area featuring live animal encounters chaperoned by the Birmingham Zoo and other interactive activities. Rounding out the event, live music and other activities will provide the perfect break from the feast.
