Horseshoe Bend National Military Park

Historic Site

The final battle of the Creek War was fought at Horseshoe Bend of the Tallapoosa River March 27, 1814. You can tour a road lined with historical markers and enjoy the picnic area, museum and living history demonstrations (conducted monthly).
