Pond Spring, The General Joseph Wheeler Home

Historic Site

An Alabama Historical Commission property with 50 acres and 13 historic buildings. General "Fighting Joe" Wheeler served in the Confederate Calvary during the Spanish-American War, the main museum includes Wheeler family's original furnishings. The home is closed for restoration, but the site is open for tours.
