Canyon Camp for Children

Jun 7-9, Fort Payne Canyon Camp for Children 256-782-5697. http://epic.jsu.edu. Little River Canyon Center--Hands-on environmental education, outdoor fun, arts and exploration of the natural world abound in this introductory camp. These camps leave children begging for more Field School fun! Children learn all about Little River Canyon National Preserve and DeSoto State Park…the river, the plants and the animals. Every participant builds his or her own memory journal to share with their family and friends. These camps fill quickly so register early. Fee includes lunch and supplies. Ages 7 - 10 years. 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Bobby's Fish Camp

Mr. Bobby Dahlberg has been the sole owner and operator of the fish camp since it began 50 years ago (1955). His daughter Lora Jane has been manager of the restaurant for the past 6 years. The fish camp is open daily for gas, cabin rentals, docking, snacks and R.V. space rentals. The restaurant is open Thurs.-Sun.
