Mountain Biking –Huntsville- Monte Sano

Approximately 30 miles of mountain biking trails that nearly encircle Monte Sano Mountain in Huntsville. These trails range in difficulty from an easy 3-mile beginner trail and dirt road to highly advanced, technical trails that require a high level of skill and fitness. Rarely does a moderate-size urban area, such as Huntsville, have such an extensive network of developed and technical trails only 5 miles from the center of the city. These trails are a "must do" for mountain bikers visiting the Huntsville area.

Huntsville also offers two other mountain bike areas within a 10-minute drive from downtown, plus a scenic mountain bike ride by the river in the Wheeler Wildlife Refuge on flat dirt roads.
