Young House
Montgomery | Montgomery County
The Young House reopened in Montgomery's Old Alabama Town on September 11, 2005, serving Southern gourmet lunch fare, including soups, salads, sandwiches, and daily specials for lunch from from 11 am until 2 p.m. weekdays. The Young House is the second location for Jennie Weller Catering,
which also operates Cafe M at the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and caters private events.
Young House is also available for private event rental in the evenings and on weekends. Old Alabama Town is a collection of authentically restored 19th and 20th century
structures. A magnificent setting, it stretches along six blocks in the heart of historic downtown Montgomery, Alabama. Young House was originally a two-room and
loft cottage. In the 1850s, a dogtrot plan Greek Revival house with four rooms was added. Handsome oak graining and marbleized mantles add a decorative touch. Landmarks Foundation of Montgomery, a non-profit corporation, develops and administers Old Alabama Town. The mission of Landmarks Foundation is to preserve, interpret, and present Central Alabama's architecture, history and culture.
