Alabama Dance Theatre

The Alabama Dance Theatre (ADT) founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Kitty Seale, is an award- winning regional company performing both classical and contemporary works. ADT’s goal is to provide professional quality performances to area audiences and to provide excellence in dance training and dance education. The Armory Learning Arts Center, a recently renovated state-of-the-art city facility, is the permanent home of the company. Training is from age three to the professional level. Many dancers have gone on to well-known dance companies and or have been awarded dance scholarships to professional schools, colleges and universities. The company performs two major productions at the Davis Theatre each year, “Mistletoe” which opens the holiday season in Montgomery and the annual spring performance, “A Celebration of the Season”. Each production features favorites from the classical repertoire and contemporary works. Each summer the company welcomes guest teachers for an intensive two week seminar which culminates with “Stars on the Riverfront”, a free performance for the city at the Armory Learning Arts Center and the Riverfront Amphitheater.
