Northwest Alabama Arts Council, Inc.

Hamilton | Marion County

The Northwest Alabama Arts Council (NWAAC) is a voluntary organization formed to create an environment where the arts flourish in the four-county region of Franklin, Lamar, Marion, and Winston Counties. Our goal is to offer support for school art classes, area performing arts, and art camps, and the promotion and exploration of art and artists within our area. The primary activity of the council is the Jerry Brown Arts Festival, held annually the first weekend of March, which helps educate the public on local artists’ work and provide those artists a venue to showcase and sell their work. This festival significantly enhance the region’s image as it grows. It is the only festival of its kind in the four-county region we serve.
