The Pub

Conveniently located in downtown Fairhope near the town’s shopping and restaurant district, The Pub features a large mural painted on the wall lining the booths along the dining side of the establishment.  Another mural highlights the local area on the wall of the outdoor patio area. The Smokehouse

 The Hangout

In the 1950’s and ‘60s, The Hangout was the coolest place to meet people on the beaches of Gulf Shores.  You could dance the Twist, Frog, Swim, Mashed Potato, Pony or Watusi as the jukebox played the latest dance music.  The beaches are just as great but the jukebox has been replaced by bands playing live music almost every night of the week.

Anyone who knows Lulu, knows the woman is a passionate entertainer, a natural storyteller, and not unlike her big brother, Jimmy Buffett, can throw a party you will be hard pressed to forget, or possibly, remember.  Live music every night, usually starting at 5pm, “Cheese Burger in Paradise” is on the menu and the Bama Breeze bar, named after one of Jimmy Buffett’s songs, are all part of the atmosphere at LuLu’s located on the intracoastal waterway of Gulf Shores.

Since the mid 1980s, Papa Rocco’s has served Oysters and Pizza. Since Papa's was the first in the area to feature nightly entertainment, there are very few local musicians who haven't played at this Oyster Bar and Pizzeria located one block from the beach.  Live music nightly starting at 8 pm.

Pink Pony Pub

What started out as a 30-by-30 café, bar and bait shop at the foot of a fishing pier was washed away by a hurricane, but the Pink Pony and its wooden pier were rebuilt out of solid concrete and given a fresh coat of shock-pink paint.  Live music nightly starts around 10pm, during the summer season, at this establishment located on the beaches of Gulf Shores.

Coolers are welcomed in the old Fred’s Feed & Seed store in rural Loachapoka.  Located just outside Auburn, the old rural store has become the place for barn dances, Thursday Jam Sessions and a place for area bands to perform on many Friday and Saturday nights and even music lessons of all types. Most groups performing on Friday and Saturday are touring acts. Bring your own food and drink as none are sold on site. All ages welcome.
