View all Decatur events1st Annual "Festival of the Cranes" at Wheeler National Wildlife Refuge. Over 11,000 Sandhill cranes along with several pairs of Whooping cranes, spend the winter at Wheeler NWR. Events include refuge tours, viewing the cranes upclose, birding workshops and nature walks, silent auction, kid's activities, vendors, sponsor booths, live raptors, live music.
