What to See & Do

Under the Covers with Victoria Shaw

January 19, 2013

Hosted by Victoria Shaw, Under The Covers has become a recurring highlight at the legendary Birdland Jazz Club in New York City and at Merrimack Hall, featuring a wide variety of top-selling songwriters and musical acts from across the pop, rock and country worlds, and offering intimate acoustic performances of huge hit songs - along with the little-known stories behind them. You never know who may show up to join Victoria Under the Covers! Past guest artists to appear at Merrimack Hall with Victoria include Robin Meade, Billy Dean, Mark Hudson, Gary Burr and Jim Brickman. Responsible for over 65 million album sales, she is best-known as the writer of "The River," one of Garth Brooks's biggest hits, as well as "I Love The Way You Love Me," recorded by John Michael Montgomery, and "Nobody Wants To Be Lonely," performed by Ricky Martin and Christina Aguilera. Recently, she co-produced the debut album of superstar Grammy-winning country trio Lady Antebellum. Her songs have been recorded by such major stars as Olivia Newton John, Boyzone, Faith Hill, LeAnn Rimes, Reba McEntire, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Michael McDonald.
