We Shall Gather at the River: Storytelling

January 26, 2013

The storytelling legacy of Kathryn Tucker Windham is honored by telling and with listening to stories of folklore and oral history indigenous to the towns and towns' people where the events are held. This is one of several Kathryn Tucker Windham Museum Storytelling Club sponsored events held throughout Southwest Alabama. Such events are held in five Alabama counties: Clarke, Choctaw, Marengo, Monroe, and Wilcox. Kathryn Tucker Windham kicked-off the storytelling club in 2010 during a museum event in Thomasville, where she spent her childhood. The Kathryn Tucker Windham Museum is located on the Alabama Southern Community College Thomasville Campus.
