The Piedmont area is home to beautiful Lake Wedowee and Chambers County Lake. Located at the skirts of the Piedmont Plateau, a province of the Appalachians, these lakes offer a wide variety of wonderful scenery and exciting outdoor recreational activities. The nearby college town of Auburn offers small-town charm and a glimpse into the state's sports traditions, while other towns in the area boast displays of historic architecture and artifacts.
