Brown Chapel AME Church

First AME church (established in 1866). It was the headquarters during the voting rights movement and was the starting point for Selma-to-Montgomery marchers. The Selma to Montgomery National Historic Trail/All-American Road begins here. A bust of Dr. King in front of the church commemorates his involvement in the movement.
