Heflin

The Georgia-Pacific Railroad was completed from Atlanta to Heflin, Ala., in 1882 and contributed greatly to Heflin's growth. The town prospered and was incorporated in 1886. Heflin is no longer dependent upon the railroad but serves as a shopping center for Cleburne County, providing its residents with a variety of shops, restaurants, and employment.
