Irons Distillery describes their product as “small batch whiskey hand-crafted by one man.” That man is Jeff Irons, and he is involved with the process from start to finish. Using local grains purchased here in Huntsville; he mashes, ferments, distills, ages, and bottles his product right here at Lowe Mill ARTS & Entertainment. It’s not entirely fair to call this a one-man operation however, because Irons Distillery is a family-run business, and Jeff is helped out by his wife, his daughter, and his father-in-law. Half of Irons Distillery is devoted to producing Irons ONE Bourbon Whiskey and Irons ONE Bourbon Mash Whiskey, which are aged in charred oak barrels. The other half of the space is a tasting room, offering free tastings of their product, as well as tasting parties for a nominal fee. Come by Studio 2061 at Lowe Mill A&E to watch the process and taste the product, and be on the lookout for Irons ONE Whiskey at a package store near you.
