
James D. Martin Wildlife Park
Located behind Gadsden Mall, the James D. Martin Wildlife Park is on the 300-acre Lake Gadsden. It has a boardwalk, bicycle and pedestrian trails and pavilions. Various habitats support water fowl, songbirds, birds of prey, amphibians, fish, small mammals, insects and native plants. Opened in October 1991, it is named for a former U.S. Representative and former Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Commissioner
