Located inside Lakepoint State Park, Kayak Eufaula offers visitors a unique way to explore the natural beauty of Lake Eufaula and its surrounding waterways. Guests can choose from recreational and fishing kayak rentals, as well as guided and self-guided paddling routes that travel through scenic rivers, backwaters, and shoreline areas rich with wildlife. Routes range from relaxed beginner-friendly paddles to longer excursions for more experienced kayakers.
Every experience includes a safety briefing, properly fitted personal flotation devices, and shuttle service to and from launch and take-out points. Kayak Eufaula also features an ADA-approved dock and flexible options for families, school groups, and organized events. The on-site welcome center includes educational materials focused on Alabama’s waterways, conservation, and local ecology, along with local art and an outfitter store. Kayak Eufaula provides an accessible, educational, and immersive outdoor experience for visitors of all ages.
Participants should be comfortable with light to moderate physical activity and prolonged time outdoors. Guests with medical conditions such as heart conditions, diabetes, asthma, mobility limitations, or sensitivity to heat should take appropriate precautions, bring necessary medications or snacks, and consult a physician if unsure. Staying hydrated is essential; guests are encouraged to bring water, sun protection, and weather-appropriate clothing. Children must meet minimum age requirements, and all participants must wear provided personal flotation devices at all times. Kayak Eufaula reserves the right to restrict participation based on weather, water conditions, or safety concerns.
