Lake LU and Nature Trails

Lake LU is a 54 acre lake on the UWA campus which provides facilities for fishing, boating, and picnicking. Surrounding the lake are the Nature Trails which are made up of the lake, prairie, forest, and Alfa trails. The trails are used for hiking, running, bird watching, picnicking, and wildflower study. The trails connect to the Blackland Prairie Restoration area which has several informative panels describing the species that once roamed the Black Belt Prairies. Hours of Operation: Wednesday and Saturday 6am- dusk; Thursday, Friday, and Sunday 12am- dusk
