
Richards-DAR House Museum
The Richards D A R House Museum is one of Mobile's most significant examples of Italianate style. Highlights included in this doubled brick walled, 10,000 sf. home include the four seasons lace iron work, marble gallery, etched red bohemian glass, Cornelius chandeliers, intricately carved Carrara marble mantles, massive crystal chandeliers, cantilevered staircase and a walled-in formal garden. Complimentary tea and cookies are offered with every tour. Daily tours, large group and bus tours by appointment. Contact for special rental events. The Museum is operated by the volunteer docents of the Daughters of the American Revolution since 1973.
