Russell Cave National Monument
Located in Bridgeport, home to Google’s newest Data Center, explore one of three national monuments in Alabama that sits at the end of a 12-mile hiking trail surrounded by 310 acres of pristine woodlands. Archeologists and scientists from National Geographic and Smithsonian have determined that human beings first inhabited the area long before the building of the Great Pyramids in Egypt (over 10,000 years ago). We ask visitors to adopt social distancing practices when visiting parks. Whether seeking wide-open spaces or exploring a historic urban neighborhood, we encourage visitors to follow CDC guidance to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and recreate responsibly.
