The Ox Kitchen
Bo Hamilton brings restaurant experience from Auburn, AL and Jackson Hole, WY to his new home at Ox Kitchen in Fairhope. Drawing the name from his wife’s college town of Oxford, MS – the Ox Kitchen serves up what Bo calls “New Southern Casual" with dishes like his signature Ox Burger with oxtail gravy, a fried oyster sandwich, chopped salads, pecan smoked wings and more. After graduating from Auburn University, Bo and a partner opened a restaurant in one of that college town’s most historic old homes – finding success until an offer they couldn’t refuse led them to sell and drift to new careers. Bo sharpened business skills in the construction business before a move to Jackson Hole where the kitchen came calling again. For five years he honed his craft at the fine dining kitchens of the valley before joining The Spur Restaurant at Teton Mountain Lodge as daytime sous chef – all the time planning a restaurant of his own again back home in Alabama. He and wife Molly moved to the Eastern Shore with their young son in 2015. The Ox Kitchen celebrates what Bo says he missed even with the 5-star meals he served out West: food with all the character, story and soul of the South. Expect fast casual comfortable for the entire family. Lunch weekdays and Saturday with dinner and live music Friday nights.
