West Blocton

Celebrate the Cahaba Lily!  During the morning program, visitors can enjoy a presentation by Dr. Larry J. Davenport, the foremost authority on the Cahaba Lily, and presentations by area environmental groups.  The Miss Cahaba Lily Pageant will also be held during the morning.  Afternoon activities include trips to the river with shuttles to and from the Cahaba Lily Center and canoes available for rent by the Cahaba River Society.   There will be live music, children's activities, arts & crafts, and food vendors in the downtown area.

    Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge

    The Cahaba River National Wildlife Refuge is a 3,689.63 acres National Wildlife Refuge located in central Alabama, along the Cahaba River downstream from Birmingham, Alabama. The refuge was established on September 25, 2002.
