Celebrating a Century of Black History

This celebration will feature spoken poetry by Huggy Bear da Poet (Alex Lofton), cultural performances by the Africatown Drummers, screenings of The League, local vendors and food trucks, free museum admission and interactive experiences highlighting Black creativity and storytelling. Children can also enjoy a children’s craft station in the museum’s kids’ space and a reading corner hosted by Gulf Regional Early Childhood Services.
