Christmas, Crafts, and Cookies at Old Cahawba

Christmas, Crafts, and Cookies at Old Cahawba

December 7th, 202410am-11am

A festive tree, mistletoe hanging from above, and the exchange of presents are all customary for a warm, family Christmas. Was Christmas at Cahawba any different? Many of these essential customs were brought over from the old country by Cahawba's diverse immigrant population. Join us at the Visitor Center for some holiday fun as we make traditional Christmas ornaments while learning about the yuletide celebrations at the historic town of Cahawba. Hot cocoa and cookies will be provided.
