40th Annual Fort Mims Reenactment & Living History

August 29th, 2026 - August 30th, 20269:00am-3:00pm daily

Stockton

During the commemorative event set for August 29-30, 2026, volunteers will dress in period clothing to re-enact the Battle of Burnt Corn followed by the Battle of Fort Mims. You can witness living history as well as enjoy period music, arts, crafts, covered wagons, tomahawk throwing, blacksmithing, concessions, dancing and 1800s cooking demonstrations.     Located on the Tensaw River, featuring RV campsites, a fully furnished camping trailer for rent, houseboat slips, boating, fishing and more.

    Camp Delta

    RV park with full hook ups; 50/30 amp service, laundry and showers. The park also has cabin rooms with kitchenettes and private baths. Tenters are also welcome.

    Hubbard's Landing on Tensaw Lake

    RV park and campground on Tensaw Lake, with cabin rentals, primitive camping, pool, fishing, boat ramp and floating docks.

    What to See & Do

    Stockton Presbyterian Church & Historical Marker

    One of the first churches on record in the Tensaw Settlement. While church members began meeting in 1847, they erected a formal site on this spot in 1903.

    Kennedy Mill Historical Marker

    This Historical Marker notes one of the first Alabama sawmills and can be found on the road side of Highway 225 on the way in to Stockton.

    Historic Stockton/Old School Park & Marker

    Housing a historic marker, this site serves as home to the Stockton Civic is club which maintains the history and preservation of this once very busy trading post and settlement.
