Watermelons are the focus as Russellville celebrates the Annual Franklin County Watermelon Festival!  Enjoy this free family event in Downtown Russellville with festival food, vendors, car & truck show, 5k and one mile fun run, and kids’ area with rides and games. Each evening the stage lights up with performances from a variety of genres. Enjoy a fresh, sweet slice of watermelon on Friday and Saturday nights when entertainment begins and on Saturday morning in the park behind Russellville First Baptist Church.  While in the park, peruse watermelon contest entries in categories such as best dressed to most unusual. Set your watch for noon on Saturday to witness the weighing of the largest watermelons around! Pack your sunscreen and lawn chairs, we are waiting for you!
